Gorgeous morning, beautiful fish. Fly casting to a Gorgeous morning, beautiful fish. Fly casting to a small group today. 💁‍♂️ Clouser on intermediate line. Ends of deep water docks. Fun way to finish the summer striper season before August closure.😎

Snagged a couple dozen bigs (largest 8” on the tip Snagged a couple dozen bigs (largest 8” on the tips) on the traps this morning with my beautiful bride. The two of us been doing it for all 23 yrs together—she’s our good luck charm! Most crabs in 5–8’. Expected em deeper but thats where we found em after all. Tons of baby throwbacks too. Eatin good today! 🦀

Casting a lot for a few littles this early morning Casting a lot for a few littles this early morning—stunning sunrise, gentle puffs from the northeast, and some modest gains made on the fly. I still suck, but suck less than a week ago…I think. Figuring things out one cast at a time. Practice before fall bite. Feels like the payoff will come…

Uh so yeah…bit hazy this a.m. with the wildfire sm Uh so yeah…bit hazy this a.m. with the wildfire smoke hanging over MD. 😶‍🌫️ More practice on the fly. A few fish moving around but not much current. Heard dolphins have gotten stripers moving far upriver. Getting a touch better at casting clousers on intermediate line. Topwater (gurglers today) on floating line still tricky for me. Keepin at it tho 😵‍💫

Trying flies. Tying flies. Flying flies. Fly this. Trying flies. Tying flies. Flying flies. Fly this. Fly that. Man, this is becoming one big a**, addictive, obsession with a heckuva learning curve. Just trying to capture the summer river schoolie bite during the early dawn. It’s been a gas. Upgrading fly line a MAJOR boost. Caught a couple small bass on a clouser casted around docks close to a weed line on intermediate line
