The Annapolis Maritime Museum holds its annual Winter Lecture Series over eight consecutive Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. from mid-January through early March. You will be challenged to question and to learn by engaging speakers on diverse topics including maritime history, local history, science, and maritime art. Hosted by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Fisheries & Boating Services division, this fair-style event is an opportunity for fishermen (recreational, commercial, for-hire) and agency representatives to ask each other questions and get answers before the busy season gets underway. Staff from the Department of Natural Resources, Natural Resources Police, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration will be available to answer questions about permitting, licensing, regulations, reporting, scientific collection permits, highly migratory species, catch card census, and enforcement. Talbot Chamber Fishing Tournament

The Talbot Chamber Fishing Tournament is a fun half-day multi-species event on the Chesapeake Bay that's fun for everyone! Register up to 6 anglers on one of our professional charter boats, or amateur boaters and anglers can register to bring their own boats! Separate pro/am prize categories! This fundraiser benefits the Talbot Watermen's Association, who work to restore the Chesapeake Bay and preserve the watermen's heritage. Knapps Narrows is the home port for the tournament.
