Another gorgeous afternoon of pickerel fishing. It Another gorgeous afternoon of pickerel fishing. It was a repeat performance—multiple fish in back of creek, hitting a white 3” paddletail gently worked in shallow water. Beautiful stuff

Fished the home creek and it took a while to find Fished the home creek and it took a while to find them, but in the last hour of light, I moved to the very back of it, where the bit of sun we had today shone the most, and found a bunch of em. A bunch. Landed 5, another 8 shook off. Largest landed only 22.75 but thick and healthy. All hit a white 3” paddletail. It’s so peaceful this time of year. Good clean fun!

A nice fish—a rogue in the creek. I saw a swirl of A nice fish—a rogue in the creek. I saw a swirl off a small sandy point and decided to jig my little bait at the end/bottom in about 10 feet. Just slowly letting it touch and hop along. Then the thump/slurp, and a fun, little pull in the kayak. Just 8# test line, so had to let this fish play around before lipping ‘er. Water is cold…take care and caution out there.

Mind kinda blown w/ this Severn largie catch = my Mind kinda blown w/ this Severn largie catch = my first. A few have been caught this summer/fall by others. It’s a bit unusual in this trib but not unheard of. Went for pickerel this afternoon, just fartin around the creek in the kayak and made a few casts/catches. All hit the inline spinner in pic3.

All on bucktails worked deeper around structure. Windward side too, which was a bit challenging. Shortest about 17, and up to two-footers.
