The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum’s waterfront will be filled with unique watercraft and their passionate owners and builders at Mid-Atlantic Small Craft Festival XLI on Friday-Sunday, Oct. 4-6. You’re invited to marvel at the craftsmanship and innovation showcased through these vessels alongside hundreds of small craft enthusiasts at one of the nation’s largest gatherings of its kind. CBMM Charity Boat Auction

CBMM will host its annual Charity Boat Auction on Saturday, Aug. 31, inviting guests to its waterfront campus to bid on donated vessels of all shapes and sizes in support of its mission. Dozens of boats and watercraft, ranging in size and performance, will be auctioned off to the highest bidders. New this year, there will be reserves on several top-quality vessels, while the rest will be offered with no minimum. 36th Antique & Classic Boat Festival and Coastal Arts Fair

Wooden and fiberglass classics, vintage racers, and other antique boats return to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum from June 14-16 for the 36th Antique & Classic Boat Festival and Coastal Arts Fair. Hosted by the Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the Antique & Classic Boat Society, this Father’s Day weekend tradition is one of the largest classic boat shows in the Mid-Atlantic region and annually brings a sense of nostalgia to the Miles River and CBMM’s waterfront campus. In addition to the wide range of vessels on display representing a multitude of makers and eras, the Antique & Classic Boat Festival is accompanied by a juried Coastal Arts Fair showcasing vendors whose products, services, and art represent boats, the water, and coastal life. Watermen’s Appreciation Day

Get ready to experience the vibrant spirit of the Eastern Shore at Watermen’s Appreciation Day, hosted by the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum on Sunday, Aug. 11, from 10am-4pm. A partnership between CBMM and the Talbot Watermen Association (TWA), this annual celebration honors the hardworking men and women who define our coastal heritage. With a thrilling boat docking contest, steamed crabs straight from the Bay, live music, family activities, and more, Watermen’s Appreciation Day promises unforgettable fun for all. Tickets are on sale now at cbmm.org/watermensday. This year, all licensed watermen and their immediate families receive free admission to the festival by showing an active license at the door. All food and beverages are an additional charge for all guests.
