Chesapeake Bay Program has released the 2024-2025 Bay Barometer report that tracks the health of the Bay within the goals and objectives of the 2014 Watershed Agreement, and indicators like oysters (met goals), SAV (64% of goal), tree canopy (28K-acre loss in 10yrs), and even public access (312 new sites since 2014). Maryland's current striped bass seasons and regs at risk! Spring "Catch & Release" season would be abolished in favor of "Catch & Kill" Trophy Season as proposed in Senate Bill 755, which was introduced this month by Sens. Muse and Hershey. IMO, crazy!
