Kid’s Derby – September 28, 2024 @ Ft. Smallwood Park

Casting range – hit the fish eye all kids win a prize.
Open classes on safety, rigging, baiting hooks, and tying knots.
Free bait and P.S.G. Volunteers will assist you with your fishing and measure your “catch”.

TWO AGE GROUPS: (4 – 8) (9 – 15)

– Door Prizes
– Prizes in each age group for the 3 largest fish caught and most fish caught.

CONTEST RULES

• All contestants must bring their fishing rod & reel.
• All contestants must check in at the registration table. (Registration time 7:30 am – 8:30 am)
• No registrations are accepted after 8:30 am.
• No fishing is allowed before the official contest starting time ( 8:30 am)
• Each contestant must use only one fishing rod and reel.
• Parents are not allowed to fish during the contest.
• Parents may help with rigging, baiting, and casting fishing rods only.
• Parents may not assist in hooking or helping to reel in fish.
• Winning fish will be determined by overall length. (nose to the tip of tail)
• All ties and any other decisions will be made by the Pasadena Sportfishing Group.
• Fishing from the fishing pier only
