Reel Chesapeake is a fishing/adventure blog created in January 2022 by James Houck, lifetime Annapolitan, avid angler, and media professional (Editorial Director of What’s Up? Media for 15+ years). Reel Chesapeake is, simply, a passion project; an online silo and social site to share fishing adventures, insights, and general information about the local angling scene, plus the outdoors, culture, and communities of the Chesapeake Bay region. Here, you’ll find reporting of fishing adventures (what went right or wrong), photography, event listings, conservation news, and resources to help you grow as a Chesapeake Bay region angler. I’m not trying to provide the bible of bass fishing, nor am I the sultan of swinging lures—I have fun fishing and documenting how it went.
