DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, June 13\, 2024\, Eastern Shore Land Conservancy will host the second annual Conservation Classic\, a sporting clays event at the Point at Pintail in Queenstown. This fun and competitive day will provide a morning of shooting followed by a pit beef lunch and awards. If target shooting and good food are your thing\, please consider a sponsorship and bring your team of shooters along. DESCRIPTION:Snakehead Fish and Blue Cat are killing and displacing our native species! To educate the public on these invasive species and help get some out of the Pocomoke River\, we are hosting a fishing tournament targeting these bad guys. Back at the weigh in\, we will have music\, food\, beverages\, and many local fisheries experts with all the scoop. Public is welcome to the weigh in! DEADLINE to register for tournament is Midnight on June 21. CASH PRIZES for heaviest individual fish as well as total weight of haul. DESCRIPTION:This Saturday\, June 29\, children of all ages and their families will get a chance to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities at the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance’s (USA) 3rd Annual Richard L. Trumka Memorial Get Youth Outdoors Day. The event was established in honor of late USA Chairman of the Board and AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka\, whose passion for hunting\, fishing\, shooting and passing on the outdoor heritage helped launch and shape the mission of the USA. \nOrganized by the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance’s in coordination with the AFL-CIO\, the event is part of a series of free\, community-based youth outreach activities organized under Work Boots on the Ground—the USA’s flagship conservation program.
