DESCRIPTION:Wooden and fiberglass classics\, vintage racers\, and other antique boats return to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum from June 13-15 for the 37th Antique & Classic Boat Festival and Coastal Arts Fair. \nHosted by the Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the Antique & Classic Boat Society\, this Father’s Day weekend tradition is one of the largest classic boat shows in the Mid-Atlantic region and annually brings a sense of nostalgia to the Miles River and CBMM’s waterfront campus. \nIn addition to the wide range of vessels on display representing a multitude of makers and eras\, the Antique & Classic Boat Festival is accompanied by a juried Coastal Arts Fair showcasing vendors whose products\, services\, and art represent boats\, the water\, and coastal life. \nGuests can purchase their two-day tickets for Friday-Saturday or Saturday-Sunday online now or at the door. DESCRIPTION:CBMM will host its annual Charity Boat Auction on Saturday\, Aug. 31\, inviting guests to its waterfront campus to bid on donated vessels of all shapes and sizes in support of its mission. \nDozens of boats and watercraft\, ranging in size and performance\, will be auctioned off to the highest bidders. New this year\, there will be reserves on several top-quality vessels\, while the rest will be offered with no minimum. \nThe doors open at 8am\, providing an opportunity to browse the inventory before the auction begins at 11am. The official rules and absentee bidding protocols are available here. The full inventory list is now available here. \nA Labor Day weekend staple for more than two decades\, the Charity Boat Auction is the flagship event of CBMM’s Charity Boat Donation Program\, which accepts and sells gently used boats year-round. Every sale directly supports CBMM’s mission to explore and preserve the history\, environment\, and culture of the entire Chesapeake Bay region and make this resource available to all. \nAll registration for in-person bidding is handled on the day of the event. Registered bidders pay a $5 paddle fee and receive free admission. \nCBMM members receive free admission into the Charity Boat Auction. Otherwise\, general admission rates apply.

SUMMARY:Big Little Boat Festival 2024
DESCRIPTION:Chesapeake Light Craft presents this annual showcase event at Conquest Beach in Centreville. \nConquest Beach is situated on the 758-acre Conquest Preserve between the Chester and Corsica Rivers. It is about an hour east of our Annapolis shop. But we think it will be worth the drive for those visiting from the western shore.  The beach has easy access for small boats on dollies and plenty of shade on shore. The facility includes two bath houses with showers\, plenty of parking\, and\, best of all\, the view of the river is fantastic. The event is free and open to the public. \nOur rowing\, sailing\, and paddling fleet will be available for on-water demos. Under the pavilion\, we will have boatbuilding seminars. The kids’ cardboard boatbuilding event at last year’s BLBF was a huge hit and will return this year. We encourage all our boatbuilder friends to bring their boats to play with and/or enter the Boatbuilding Contest. Bring your boat\, show off your hard work\, and hopefully\, you will win a prize! \nGrab a bite to eat at the on-site food truck\, or bring a picnic lunch. On-site camping is available on Friday & Saturday nights.  We hope to see you there! \nClick here for full details.
