DESCRIPTION:Kid’s Derby – September 28\, 2024 @ Ft. Smallwood Park\nCasting range – hit the fish eye all kids win a prize.\nOpen classes on safety\, rigging\, baiting hooks\, and tying knots.\nFree bait and P.S.G. Volunteers will assist you with your fishing and measure your “catch”. \nTWO AGE GROUPS: (4 – 8) (9 – 15)\n– Door Prizes\n– Prizes in each age group for the 3 largest fish caught and most fish caught. \nCONTEST RULES\n\nAll contestants must bring their fishing rod & reel.\nAll contestants must check in at the registration table. (Registration time 7:30 am – 8:30 am)\nNo registrations are accepted after 8:30 am.\nNo fishing is allowed before the official contest starting time ( 8:30 am)\nEach contestant must use only one fishing rod and reel.\nParents are not allowed to fish during the contest.\nParents may help with rigging\, baiting\, and casting fishing rods only.\nParents may not assist in hooking or helping to reel in fish.\nWinning fish will be determined by overall length.
