SUMMARY:Reelin' 4 a Cause Charity Fishing Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Benefiting the CalvertHealth Foundation and CalvertHealth Cancer Center. It’s more than a fishing tournament\, it’s a fundraising tournament – and the Captain/team that raises the most money will be crowned winners of the Captain’s Challenge. In addition to the bragging rights for the next year\, a plaque with the Captain’s Challenge winner will be displayed in CalvertHealth Medical Center. Proceeds from Reelin’ 4 a Cause will support the advancement of cancer care at CalvertHealth\, including the oncology navigation program. \nThe team registration fee is $500 and includes one captain and four (3) anglers. All team registrations come with four (4) tickets to the Shore Party in the parking lot of the Urgent Care building in Solomons Island. \nReelin’ for a Cause is a tournament to raise money for Cancer Care at CalvertHealth. SUMMARY:2024 Maryland Rod & Reef Slam
DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by CBF\, Chesapeake Oyster Alliance\, and Coastal Conservation Association Maryland. \nThe Rod & Reef Slam fishing tournament is unlike any other. You don’t just win by catching the biggest fish. To celebrate the vast biodiversity oyster reefs support\, prizes are instead awarded for how many different species you catch (and release). In the event of a tie\, the winner will be determined by the size of fish caught. Anglers of all skill levels fish on a multitude of restored reef locations throughout Maryland’s portion of the Chesapeake Bay and its rivers and record their catches in the tournament app (a link to the app will be provided after registering). See our map of restored oyster reefs in Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay and tributaries. \nFishing Tournament \nSaturday\, September 7\, 2024 at 6:00 a.m.-Sunday\, September 15\, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Registration closes September 6\, 2024.
